Data Software Engineer

• University degree in computer science or a comparable quantitative field.
• At least three years of professional experience in software development within data analytics or data engineering environments.
• Proficiency in Python and Structured Query Language.
• Hands-on experience designing modular, scalable data analytics applications, ideally using cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

Nice to have:

• Additional programming knowledge in Java, Scala.
• Experience with technologies such as Apache Spark or Kafka.
• Exposure to agile frameworks and tools.
• German language skills are an advantage.

• Collaborate closely with data scientists and data engineers to strengthen the software foundation of advanced analytics solutions for machine data, business processes, and customer insights.
• Maintain and further develop a scalable codebase for extracting, transforming, and serving large data volumes from diverse sources such as Internet of Things systems, customer relationship management, and enterprise platforms.
• Create robust, maintainable, and future-proof software components to ensure high code quality and support reliable operation of data products on the data platform.
• Apply DataOps practices and automation to streamline development workflows and improve efficiency across analytics solutions.
• Contribute to data governance and security initiatives, ensuring compliance with defined standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal communities and collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions through open communication and knowledge sharing.
