Java Developer

Scalo is a company working on backend platform development with a focus on e-commerce and customer support platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Java or Kotlin with at least 5 years of backend development experience
• Design and develop REST APIs following best practices
• Experience working in microservices architecture
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD processes
• Experience with backend testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Kotest)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality solutions
• Comfortable working in an agile and dynamic environment
• Customer-centric mindset to create user-focused solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience in e-commerce or customer support platforms
• Familiarity with API Gateway and Service Mesh
• Experience optimizing high-traffic applications
• Practical knowledge of AI tools supporting programming (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and agentic coding approaches

• Develop backend platform through building APIs and backend logic ensuring smooth customer experiences
• Create Self Service solutions enabling users to independently resolve issues related to orders, returns, or missing products
• Develop backend services and APIs supporting dashboards and workflows for Customer Care teams
• Build integration layers and backend logic for AI solutions and Virtual Assistant
• Collaborate with frontend, UX, and Customer Care teams
• Develop and maintain microservices
• Work with CI/CD processes and modern containerization and orchestration environments
