Senior Software Engineer, Vertex AI, Workbench

AI/ML software engineers in Cloud bridge the gap between pioneering models and a massive product vehicle reaching billions. The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services and Google Cloud. Their global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end (Java, Python, GO, or C++) and front-end (JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent).
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s, PhD degree, further education or experience in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical related field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.

• Design and implement best developer tools and platform for customers of Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Lead the technical execution for major product initiatives, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Work closely with customers to constantly improve user experience.
• Demonstrate a bias for action by balancing product thinking, development, and continuous delivery.
