EMEA IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect

You will primarily be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and support of scalable, secure and efficient IT infrastructure solutions across networks, servers and storage within MetLife’s EMEA data Centres. This is an exciting new role within the new team, and you will be responsible to the Manager of the team to deliver a world class solution for MetLife in EMEA. The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of IT infrastructure technologies including but not limited to Network, Storage, Backup, Replication, HCI, Virtualisation, Windows and Linux operating systems. Any knowledge of AS400 systems would be a great benefit.

• Data Centre Migration design and implementation experience, including planning and strategy from start to finish
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of system administration, software development, networking, and cloud technologies
• Understanding of core IT architecture principles and methodologies
• Ability to analyse complex systems, assess risks, and solve problems
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Capacity to provide technical guidance, manage projects, and think strategically
• Understanding of Micro Segmentation, Cisco Networking, VMware Virtualisation, SAN (Storage), Fabric Switching, Citrix, Netscaler Load Balancing and Access Gateway, Data Centre Rack design (Power requirements etc)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a creative team
• Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
• Team player with hands-on work style and advanced communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with global teams
• Proactive, can-do attitude

• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for networks, servers and storage
• Evaluate, select, and integrate new technology solutions ensuring they meet performance and security standards
• Lead infrastructure-related projects from conception to completion
• Implement security policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Ensure all system designs meet required regulatory standards
• Monitor system performance, manage capacity, and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with project managers, business leaders, and IT professionals to align infrastructure with business goals
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure processes and standards
• Develop and lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning
