Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

The company has been building solutions for mobile apps, effortless payment, business travel, and advertising since 1992. The customer is developing a mobility platform that allows operators to manage their vehicles and drivers efficiently, regulators to be informed and establish guidelines, service providers to deliver sustainable solutions, and riders to have an effortless transit experience. The project is a taxi ordering service. The user can hail a taxi, monitor an ordered taxi, pay for a ride, and see trip history.

• 4-5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails
• Practice in relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Background in delayed asynchronous job execution (RabbitMQ)
• Skills in working with and developing REST API
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Architectural sense and a passion for high-quality code
• Familiarity with version control systems (GIT)

Nice to have:

• Practice in AWS and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
• Acquaintance with in-memory databases (Memcached, Redis)
• Willingness to improve the existing and get new skills

• Back-end development using Ruby on Rails, AWS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ
• Building of REST API
• Integrating with dispatch systems of taxi service providers and other 3rd party services
• Participating in meetings with the customer
