Senior Software Engineering Manager - Flume ML

The role involves leading a team in Warsaw focused on evolving distributed computing, advancing scheduleability and auto-tuning capabilities critical for large-scale Machine Learning pipelines and data workloads. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions to customers in over 200 countries and territories, enabling digital transformation and sustainable development.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing and deploying large-scale distributed systems.

Nice to have:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience designing and implementing Machine Learning (ML) architectures.

• Discover and implement advanced optimization techniques to enhance system auto-tuning and resource scheduling.
• Deliver fleet-wide performance improvements while collaborating with key partners across the company, including teams working on autonomous driving and frontier AI models.
