SAP WM in-house Consultant

Our client is a medium-sized organisation operating within the industrial / manufacturing sector. They specialise in delivering high-quality products and services while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and efficiency.

• Proven experience in SAP logistics consulting (ideally 5+ years)
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent practical background)
• Solid hands-on experience with logistics-related SAP processes, particularly LE, WM, EWM (nice to have), and transportation
• Experience working with business units, including gathering and translating requirements
• Familiarity with S/4HANA and ERP systems in practical environments
• Strong knowledge of system configuration and integration points (ERP, QM, SD, MM, PP)
• Good understanding of end-to-end logistics processes, including warehousing, distribution, and production integration
• Basic or working knowledge of ABAP is a plus
• Experience in requirements handling and system integration coordination
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
• Fluent English skills; German is considered an advantage

• Develop and enhance SAP-based solutions within logistics, focusing on WM/EWM and transportation functionalities, including their validation and performance improvement
• Contribute to implementation and system upgrade initiatives across local and international projects, with the possibility of taking ownership of specific functional streams
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps, deliver user support, and prepare process-related documentation and training materials
• Maintain and extend internal system developments, ensuring clear, structured, and up-to-date technical documentation
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors while actively supporting the evolution and optimization of the current IT landscape
• Ensure smooth integration between SAP and other modules as well as broader ERP environments
• Handle advanced (3rd line) support cases and continuously improve system efficiency, especially in the areas of configuration and cross-system interfaces (ERP, QM, SD, MM, PP)
