Technical Product Owner

GBS and its three Centers of Excellence act as the Group Digital Transformation engine for Finance, Procurement, and Master data. Our Operational teams provide global services for Finance, Procurement, Master data, HR, and IT with the ambition to further move up the value chain and expand its service portfolio.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, or in a similar Agile role • Good knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum • Experience with backlog management, refinement, and prioritisation • Technical understanding of automation, low-code platforms, or similar technologies (e.g. Power Platform, UiPath) • Ability to translate technical topics into clear, business-oriented requirements • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken

In your role

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of a defined product area and ensure that solutions are developed and maintained in alignment with business needs, architectural standards, and our overall IT landscape.

The role focuses on backlog management, technical quality, and day-to-day execution within a single Agile team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and refine the Apps & Automation backlog, ensuring clear priorities and well-defined user stories • Translate business needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria • Balance functional requirements with technical enablers that improve stability, scalability, and quality • Participate actively in Product Backlog Initiation, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Demo • Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements and support day-to-day delivery • Engage with IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with architecture, security, and governance standards • Support roll-out planning and follow up on delivered value and solution quality • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure continuous value creation and transparent expectation management

Collaboration & Ways of Working

• Act as a primary contact for the development team on technical product-related topics • Ensure high availability to the development team during sprints • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of team ways of working • Support and contribute to a strong team culture with a focus on professional growth, knowledge sharing, and cross team collaboration • Take part in recruitment, onboarding, and development dialogues
