• Strong expertise in application security principles, including secure design, threat modeling, and risk assessment
• In-depth knowledge of common vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience securing microservices, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and APIs
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of secure coding practices across multiple languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Go)
• Experience with security testing tools: SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning
• Strong system design and architectural skills with a security-focused approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical stakeholders
• 7+ years of experience in application security, software engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience designing secure architectures in distributed, complex systems
• Practical experience embedding security into Agile and DevOps environments
• Hands-on threat modeling and security architecture review experience
• Background in incident response, vulnerability management, or security operations is a strong plus
• Prior experience in a leadership, mentorship, or advisory role

• Serve as a security advisor to engineering and product teams on secure application design and architecture
• Lead and facilitate threat modeling and security architecture reviews
• Embed security controls and best practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Drive adoption of secure coding standards and DevSecOps practices
• Evaluate security risks related to new technologies, architectures, and platforms
• Support incident response activities and post-incident improvement initiatives when required
• Define, maintain, and enforce secure design and application security standards
• Mentor developers and security engineers, promoting a security-first mindset
