Solution Architect - RDT Group Functions Sites, SHE & Sustainability

Roche Digital Technology (RDT) Engineering Sites, SHE & Sustainability team supports a portfolio of products including Facility Management & Real Estate, Project Engineering, Logistics, General Site Services, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), and Sustainability. The team operates globally, leveraging technologies such as IoT and AI to enable safe, efficient, and sustainable workplaces across Roche’s site network.

• 6–8+ years in IT with solid experience as a Solution/Technical Architect in complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in solution design, data architecture, and system integration (APIs, event-driven, cloud)
• Experience working with enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and at least one major cloud provider
• Exposure to industrial/site domains such as facility management, engineering, logistics, SHE, or sustainability
• Familiarity with IoT and data-driven use cases (e.g., smart sites, analytics, automation)
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar; architecture/cloud certifications are a plus
• Proven experience in solution architecture within complex, multi-solution environments
• Strong expertise in data and integration architecture, architecture patterns, and NFRs
• Experience shaping technology roadmaps and evaluating new technologies
• Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic, proactive mindset with a focus on business value
• Basic understanding of IoT concepts and integration patterns

Accountability:

• Design end-to-end, scalable solutions aligned with business goals and enterprise standards
• Define and evolve architecture including data models, integrations, and non-functional requirements (NFRs)
• Ensure architectural consistency across complex, multi-solution environments

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align on architecture and priorities
• Communicate complex concepts clearly and influence key decisions
• Foster knowledge sharing across teams and products

Impact & Strategy:

• Contribute to product vision and technology roadmaps across Site, SHE & Sustainability
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and management of technical debt
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and best practices

Technology Selection:

• Lead evaluation of technologies and vendors based on business needs and feasibility
• Assess emerging trends (e.g., IoT) and identify opportunities for value creation
• Support pilots and adoption of new solutions
