Senior Java Developer (Agent - First Development Mindset)

The Warsaw-based hub focuses on a cloud-native digital pathology platform that digitizes tissue slide specimens, manages clinical cases end-to-end, enables remote review of high-resolution slide images, runs AI-powered diagnostic algorithms, and integrates with laboratory information systems and PACS archives to deliver advanced medical insights and personalized healthcare.

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Java software development.
• Expert knowledge of Java including Java 17+ features, JVM internals, memory management, and concurrency.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and modules such as Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Proficiency in SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Solid experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Advanced proficiency with Git including branching strategies and code review processes.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Strong advocate for high-quality code, best practices, and clean code principles (SOLID).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex distributed issues.
• Fluent English communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, remote environment.

• Build and evolve microservices powering clinical workflows including image ingestion, case management, algorithm orchestration, and third-party integrations.
• Take full ownership of features and projects from conception to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate effectively within a distributed, agile squad.
• Use AI tools to optimize software development lifecycle tasks such as refactoring, boilerplate generation, bug hunting, unit test generation, documentation, and PR descriptions.
• Apply prompt engineering to improve speed and quality of production-ready code.
