Senior Software Engineering Manager, Emergent AI Infrastructure

The Emergent AI infrastructure team at Google is building the next generation of on-prem AI infrastructure to empower Frontier model and AI solution builders. Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's technology to help organizations digitally transform their business globally.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
• 5 years of experience leading a team of engineers to build AI infrastructure.

• Lead the Warsaw site teams responsible for adapting and creating hardware and software for new Emergent AI products in collaboration with other cloud teams.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing strategic guidance and fostering professional development.
• Partner with tech leads, tech lead managers, and engineering managers across the organization to deliver high-impact results.
• Navigate distributed operations across the US, Asia, and Europe, guiding engineers collaborating across continents.
• Be involved in hardware/software strategy and support of external customer needs and product issues.
