Data & Analytics Consultant / Analyst for the Resources Industry - ICH Europe

Intelligent Consulting Hub (ICH) Energy Team provides industry-specific business and technology consulting services to clients in Energy Downstream, Upstream, Fuel Retail and Utilities areas. They focus on data analytics tools combined with state-of-the-art system infrastructure as the foundation for the intelligent enterprise: from the wellhead, through the forecourt to the boardroom.

Consultants are experts in Data & Analytics projects including Data Strategy, Governance, Migration, Integration and Consolidation, Data Warehousing and Data Lake Implementation, Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting. Experienced talents lead and manage projects, financials, and build relationships with Clients and cooperate with delivery centers globally. Success is measured by building trusted relationships with Global Accenture Teams and Client stakeholders across business and IT.

• Experience working on international projects across Energy, Utilities, Chemicals and Natural Resources.
• Exposure to leading industry practices and technologies.
• Experience in the Resources industry (e.g., Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities, Chemicals, Natural Resources, Mining).
• Understanding of the IT landscape in the area of business expertise.
• Several years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, or Data Migration of industry-specific data.
• Understanding of solution design, testing, project management, and data management concepts.
• Skills in one or more areas: Big Data, BI, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Data Management, Data Storage, Data Visualization, Data Migration, Data Modelling, or Data Governance.
• Knowledge of a major Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a strong asset.
• Understanding of AI and willingness to expand expertise and apply it in industry context.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills (minimum C1).
• Proficiency (C1) in an additional language, especially German or French, is a very strong asset.

Nice to have:

• Some knowledge of programming (e.g. SQL, Python, R).
• Previous experience with agile project management and related tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and project management certification (Price, PMP, PSM, CSM).
• Experience working with SAP data (SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere).

• Engage Clients and combine industry and digital experience to deliver industry-specific advisory end to end, from gathering requirements through building solutions, to running demos, trainings, and ensuring smooth adoption.
• Leverage industry experience to handle structured and unstructured data from diverse sources (enterprise systems, domain-specific systems, external datasets) to identify business value creation opportunities.
• Depending on technical expertise, work may include:
  • Data Engineering & Architecture (e.g. Azure, AWS, SAP BW) to build scalable solutions.
  • Data Analysis & Transformation using SQL, Spark, pandas, Python, R, and other tools to create optimized data models.
  • Business Intelligence & Visualization to translate data into clear business insights (PowerBI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud), applied across Resources industry value chain.
