Software Engineer (chip design tools)

• BSc or MSc degree in computer science, electronics or related fields
• Good understanding of computer architectures and programming
• Knowledge or willingness to learn compiler, simulator, synthesis tool development
• Expertise in C, C++, and/or Rust
• Knowledge of Linux as a development environment
• Experience with Git, GCC, Clang, LLVM, make, CMake
• Experience with Python, Bash, and/or other scripting languages is welcome
• Permanent residency and eligibility to work in the EU
• Readiness to work on-site

• We work with the newest, bleeding-edge chip design technologies. We develop open source tooling for ASIC designers and FPGA engineers. This includes SystemVerilog simulators, SystemVerilog-to-GDSII toolchains, and various tools aiming to ease development of hardware designs.
• Develop tools like simulators, compilers, synthesis, and place & route toolchains.
• Implement new features and fix bugs.
• Analyze and improve performance, from improving algorithms to low-level optimizations.
• Use Linux and develop for Linux.
• Automate workflow with scripting whenever possible.
• Write automated tests and Continuous Integration scripts for validating the software created.
