Senior Business IT Consultant (Manufacturing, German)

• At least 2 years of experience related to manufacturing, particularly in machinery, pharmacy, or automotive
• Experience with the IT world, understanding software development processes and basic IT architecture concepts, and participation in rollouts of IT systems
• Familiarity with current market trends and concepts related to Digital Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0, Shop Floor Integration, and Edge Computing, with ability to assess their impact on manufacturing business
• Experience with IT systems supporting production and/or logistics such as ERP, MES, SCADA
• Knowledge and experience regarding relational databases and SQL is an additional asset
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with business partners
• Proficiency in German and English languages
• Analytical thinking skills to analyze processes, situations, and problems in a structured way and propose solutions focusing on business goals

• Conducting consulting and roll-out projects for clients from the manufacturing industry
• Organizing and moderating meetings and workshops with clients’ representatives to learn about their business, challenges, and needs, and to collect and structure requirements
• Analyzing, modeling, and identifying improvements of business processes and IT systems to propose and design changes and optimizations
• Cooperating with customers, technology experts, and development teams to design new technology solutions or changes in existing IT systems and environments
• Defining requirements and creating specifications for new IT systems or changes and transformations of existing IT environments
• Presenting and discussing solution ideas with diverse groups of stakeholders to win their acceptance and commitment
• Identifying opportunities for business development and new projects, and contributing to new offers for clients
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced consultants and leading consulting teams
