Senior Software Engineer - Customer Experience Engineering

The Customer Experience Engineering Team at Snowflake builds internal and external technologies to scale global support and sales organizations, empowering technical experts with advanced tools to resolve complex issues and drive customer success. The team specializes in software engineering, data-driven decisions, machine learning (ML), and large language model (LLM)-based solutions, focusing on automating manual processes and augmenting technical staff capabilities.

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• 2+ years maintaining a production system
• 1+ years of working ML experience
• Interest in state-of-the-art LLM-based solutions
• Experience with modern application design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale
• Expertise in at least one of the following: Python, Java
• Experience with software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, design documentation
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, especially in a cloud environment
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Genuine enjoyment of building great software and learning new things

• Develop and refine ML models critical to Snowflake’s business
• Design metrics and experiments to validate insights
• Implement projects spanning the stack, including Java and Python services hosted in Snowflake and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design
• Deliver features requiring coordination with multiple partner teams
• Participate in defining product vision and team planning
• Pinpoint problems, instrument relevant components, and implement solutions
