Senior Data Architect

The Data Assets, Analytics & AI department focuses on enabling digital transformation by creating best-in-class analytical solutions. The role is part of the global data assets, analytics and AI platform, responsible for guiding projects in the area of Data & Analytics. This position is part of a dynamic team committed to driving the digital transformation of Bayer Consumer Health, involving collaboration across various geographical locations to ensure alignment with market requirements and industry standards.

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
• 5+ years' working experience in Data & Analytics, preferably in the CPG industry.
• Excellent data architecture knowledge and data engineering skills in spark-based solutions (tech stack includes Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, Python; Snowflake is nice to have).
• Proficient in data modeling techniques and able to mentor data engineers.
• Knowledge in reporting solutions like Tableau or PowerBI.
• Expertise in GitHub ecosystem.
• Familiarity with commercial domain data (CRM, eComm, Sell-Out, etc.).
• Experience applying Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Fluent in English, with intercultural awareness and willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps as a plus

• Own and lead technical implementation and management of well-integrated, enriched, and reusable data models and analytics products.
• Collect and manage data requirements of data consumers, translating them into technical concepts.
• Ensure the definition and application of best-practice data management and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with other data architects, analytics leads, and data scientists to ensure sustainable pipelines.
• Collaborate with business functions and IT teams to ensure delivery aligns with business priorities.
• Lead the integration of different data sources to develop harmonized data models and KPIs.
• Steer delivery teams and provide cost and time estimations while assuring quality delivery.
• Contribute to best-practice exchange in data architecture and enhance the data analytics technology stack.
