Senior Software Engineer

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting robust front-to-back trading systems for commodities and FX products, focusing on high availability, low latency, and enterprise-level scalability. The team operates in an agile model, collaborating with business stakeholders and leveraging market-leading technologies.

• 5+ years of hands-on Java back-end development experience.
• Strong expertise in HTTPS, RESTful APIs, microservices, and messaging queues (MQ).
• Solid understanding of high-availability service architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one mainstream database (PostgresSQL or Sybase), including basic performance tuning.
• Experience leading or owning the delivery of Java-based services.
• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to perform under pressure.
• Passion for technology, self-driven to learn and specialize in technical domains.

Nice to have:

• Experience with production support for critical systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of FX and Commodities trading workflows, trade life cycle, and post-trade processes.

• Develop and support front-to-back trading systems, covering client portals, order management, and execution platforms.
• Deliver cross-product Front Office solutions for trading and risk management in Commodities and FX.
• Enhance and maintain electronic trading applications designed for low latency and high throughput.
• Implement real-time risk management capabilities across trading workflows.
• Ensure reliability, robustness, and scalability of Java-based services in production.
• Lead or own the delivery of Java service modules, supporting continuous improvement and innovation.
