IT Sourcing Specialist

• Experience in commercial, financial, or procurement/sourcing related areas.
• Experience working within sectors such as global financial services, banking, insurance, healthcare, private equity, fintechs, or technology companies.
• Good experience of financial modelling, P&L vs. Cash positions, account treatment of OpEx and CapEx, depreciation lifecycles, VAT recovery.
• Demonstrable experience in vendor, cost and commercial management including cost reduction/optimisation programmes and supplier contract negotiation.
• Experience working at all levels of an organisation with excellent stakeholder management ability.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing company and customer requirements.
• Ability to work alone or within a larger team, self-starter capable of devising own strategies and approaches to solve customer problems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Act as primary interface with Business Functions, IT & Purchasing Stakeholders globally to understand products and/or services and collaboratively devise strategies and opportunities for executable cost reductions or cost take-out.
• Conduct reviews with technical teams as a demand challenge layer to analyse technical solutions, licensing volumes, SLAs, services and evaluate opportunities for right-sizing, cost reductions and risk appetite decisions.
• Review inventory data to understand growth or decline trends and future strategies and roadmaps of particular technologies or solutions.
• Perform deep-dive activity across cost base, forensically analysing contracts, invoices and spend data to provide a holistic view of supplier contracts and spend.
• Create clear negotiation strategies for supplier or contract opportunities and execute these as cost saving initiatives.
• Contribute towards programme deliverables including initiative tracking, MI reporting and dashboards to demonstrate progress, maintain a view of upcoming initiatives and savings delivered.
• Compile savings evidence to provide clear figures of in-year and annual run-rate savings as well as payment profiles of contracts.
• Create commercial propositions including benefits and overview of costs.
• Support customers with supplier negotiations and drafting contract terms.
• Run RFP processes where appropriate to seek better commercial terms for existing services or select replacement services with better value.
• Deliver related operational and consultancy projects as required to meet customer requirements.
