Delivery/ Engineering Manager (with Java)

MUST HAVE:

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, or similar role managing multiple agile teams simultaneously
• Experience managing delivery for software development projects with teams of 20+ people
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and ability to adapt processes to team needs
• Experience with delivery planning, dependency management, risk management, and stakeholder reporting
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams; solid understanding of software development lifecycle, without necessarily being a developer
• Fluent English; ability to communicate freely in a professional setting (spoken and written)
• Availability to work from the office 3 days per week in one of the following locations: Warsaw, Kraków, Tricity, or Rzeszów

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in the financial services or banking domain
• Experience with greenfield projects and team ramp-up / scaling
• Experience coordinating between technical and business stakeholders in a multi-squad setup
• Familiarity with Java/Spring or Flutter/React technology stacks

• Own end-to-end delivery across 3 cross-functional squads: planning, tracking, risk management, and reporting
• Coordinate squad-level work to manage cross-squad dependencies and ensure consistent progress toward project milestones
• Work with Tech Leads to resolve blockers, manage scope, and maintain realistic delivery timelines
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clearly understood and properly prioritized
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure effective team processes (sprint planning, retrospectives, demos)
• Manage the gradual team ramp-up: coordinate onboarding of new squad members as the team scales
• Provide regular delivery reports and status updates to project leadership (weekly cadence)
• Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation plans
• Communicate effectively in English with all stakeholders, including technical teams and senior leadership

Locations: Warsaw, Kraków, Tricity (Gdańsk/Gdynia/Sopot), Rzeszów. Each entire squad must be from a single location. No splitting squad members across cities. Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office per week. This is a hard requirement. Fluent English communication is mandatory.
