Sap Commerce Cloud Developer (Contract)

• Extensive SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development experience (ideally 2011+).
• Extensive experience coding in Java (Java 17+).
• Experience with data structures.
• Exposure to web technologies.
• Experience with object-oriented software design patterns.
• Some understanding of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Windows or Linux operating systems.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience delivering software as part of a team.
• Experience with Spring framework.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and front-end technologies.
• Knowledge of other JVM languages such as Groovy, Scala, Clojure.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Python.
• Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, REST, JSON.
• Knowledge of relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of message queuing systems such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Contributions to open source projects.

• Work within a project team to deliver high quality code to deadlines.
• Communicate clearly about tasks and milestones within the project.
• Realistically estimate own delivery timescales.
• Solve problems using provided tools and materials or suggest alternatives.
• Create robust solutions using provided tools and materials or suggest alternatives.
• Take responsibility from and deputise for the senior/lead developer.
• Lead small technical discussions on problem solving and solution design.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Be a motivated self-starter.
