Mobile Technical Lead - RCS For Business

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as first party devices and services that combine Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams research, design, and develop new technologies to make user interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences worldwide.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with large scale application design and architecture.
• Experience with Android application development.
• Experience programming in Kotlin.

Nice to have:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Lead Rich Communication Services (RCS) For Business in Google Messages application development.
• Identify, deliver and land critical user journeys end-to-end.
• Measure and monitor the impact of various features across the business communication ecosystem.
• Create better user experience by fixing critical bugs/issues raised by external developers.
• Work with Product Managers, UX, DevRel, Support and Engineer leads to deliver critical product/system metrics to help understand various nuances of the product.
