Backend Developer (PHP + Laravel) (f/m)

ALAB laboratoria Sp. z o.o. is a nationwide network of diagnostic laboratories in Poland, performing 45 million tests annually. The company operates over 800 diagnostic material collection points and about 70 laboratories across all Polish voivodeships, offering more than 3500 different tests. They collaborate with the German LIMBACH group and international universities and scientists to ensure high-quality services and use modern technology aligned with global standards in laboratory medicine.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with PHP/Laravel
• Proficiency in working with databases and integrations
• Proactive in solution design
• Soft skills including teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving
• English language skills at B2 level or higher for communication and technical documentation
• Technical skills: PHP 8+, Laravel 8+, PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redis/Elasticsearch, PostGIS or other spatial extensions, REST/SOAP integrations, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, experience in API and microservices design

Nice to have:

• Experience in e-commerce or reporting systems
• Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, RabbitMQ
• Symfony/Django, PHPStan, code refactoring
• Integrations with online payments (BLIK, Przelewy24)
• Knowledge of HL7 standards or medical industry

• Design and develop APIs, microservices, and business logic
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and testers
• Integrate with external systems (laboratories, CMS, payments)
• Optimize search and work with spatial data
• Participate in code reviews and architecture design
