• Proven 5+ years’ experience backend services development using Java (or better Kotlin) and Spring 3+
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with AI assisted code development
• Strong focus on code quality (self-testing, unit + integration tests development)
• Great experience with RESTful API development and integration
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Kafka
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment
• Confidence to make independent decisions and take ownership of implemented solutions
• Very good knowledge of English, speaking and writing

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Kotlin language is an additional asset
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with gitlab CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with automated testing and test driven development (TDD)
• Understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications with Kotlin (mainly), Java, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes or other relevant technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience
• Work independently on assigned tasks, from problem analysis through design and implementation, making informed technical decisions when needed
• Actively contribute to a fail‑fast culture: experiment, validate assumptions early, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve solutions
• Implement and maintain APIs, ensuring robust and efficient communication of micro-service applications in Kubernetes environment
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and adhering to coding standards
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stack, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the development process and technologies used
