Backend Developer (PHP + Laravel) (f/m)

ALAB laboratoria Sp. z o.o. is a nationwide network of diagnostic laboratories in Poland. Operating for over a decade, it performs 45 million tests annually, with more than 800 diagnostic material collection points and approximately 70 laboratories across all Polish voivodeships. It collaborates with the German LIMBACH group, its business partner, as well as universities and scientists from Europe and worldwide to ensure the highest quality of services. ALAB emphasizes modernity and technology, ensuring that the equipment used by its diagnosticians meets global standards and the latest trends in laboratory medicine.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in PHP/Laravel
• Proficiency in working with databases and integrations
• Proactive in solution design
• Soft skills including teamwork, adaptability, and effective problem-solving
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level for communication and understanding technical documentation
• Technical requirements: PHP 8+, Laravel 8+, PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redis/ElasticSearch, PostGIS or other spatial extensions, REST/SOAP integrations, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, experience in API and microservices design

Nice to have:

• Experience in e-commerce or reporting systems
• Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, RabbitMQ
• Symfony/Django, PHPStan, code refactoring
• Integrations with online payments (BLIK, Przelewy24)
• Knowledge of HL7 standards or medical industry

• Designing and developing APIs, microservices, and business logic
• Collaborating with project managers, developers, and testers
• Integrating with external systems (laboratories, CMS, payments)
• Optimizing search and working with spatial data
• Participating in code reviews and architecture design
