QA Automation Engineer (Java/Selenium, German C1) | Scalable Test Tools

Polcode is a Poland-based software house working with clients worldwide since 2006. They build web, mobile, and eCommerce products for startups and well-established companies across Europe, the US, and beyond. The team consists of almost 100 professionals helping build and improve digital businesses, software platforms, eCommerce stores, websites, and apps.

• Experience in test automation (preferably Selenium with Java)
• Understanding of web frontend development
• Strong knowledge of software development and testing processes
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
• High level of independence and proactive approach
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany (including onboarding phase)
• German language skills (C1 minimum – mandatory)
• English (B2+) for technical communication and documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience with React
• Knowledge of Spring Boot
• Experience in manual testing
• Experience in load or performance testing
• Familiarity with cloud or container environments (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab)
• Interest in design and UX

• Develop and maintain a central test automation framework (Java, Selenium)
• Build and improve internal testing tools (e.g. test data generators)
• Support both frontend and backend aspects of testing solutions
• Analyze requirements and validate concepts from a QA perspective
• Collaborate with users of the tools to ensure usability and effectiveness
• Contribute to high-quality, sustainable and maintainable solutions

Role is primarily remote with occasional travel to Germany including onboarding phase on-site; travel costs covered by the client.
