Network Engineer

• Knowledge at FortiGate NSE4 level or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of network technologies at CCNP level
• Very good knowledge of protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP
• Experience configuring and diagnosing VPN (IPsec, SSL VPN)
• Knowledge of network security issues (firewall, NAT, IPS/IDS)
• Ability to work with CLI (Cisco IOS, FortiOS)
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, ping, traceroute)
• Experience working in a ticketing model (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
• Analytical skills and creativity in problem solving
• Ability to work under time pressure and in production environment
• Commitment and team spirit
• Communication skills in client interaction
• English language proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation, problem analysis, and communication with clients and manufacturers
• Willingness to work on-call shifts
• Driving license category B

Nice to have:

• Certifications: NSE4, CCNA/CCNP or higher
• Experience in maintenance environments (NOC/Service Desk L2/client support)
• Knowledge of SD-WAN solutions (Fortinet/Cisco)
• Knowledge of Azure Networking / cloud networking
• Knowledge of other vendors' solutions (e.g., Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba)
• Basic knowledge of automation (Python, Ansible)
• Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds)
• Knowledge of High Availability and redundancy
• Experience in network traffic and performance analysis

• Analyze and resolve network issues (routing, switching, firewalling, VPN)
• Serve as L2 (second line support) for external clients
• Escalate complex incidents to L3 or manufacturers (e.g., Cisco TAC, Fortinet Support)
• Handle requests according to SLA and ensure timely resolution
• Respond to incidents in network infrastructure
• Configure, maintain, and deploy network devices (Fortinet, Cisco)
• Create and update technical documentation and procedures
• Maintain and develop client environments (approx. 90% of work time)
• Participate in implementation projects (approx. 10% of work time)
• Support audits and optimization of network environments
• Collaborate with system and security teams
• Analyze logs and network traffic (end-to-end troubleshooting)
• Proactively detect problems and propose improvements
