Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Certificate Manager

Google Cloud develops next-generation technologies impacting billions of users globally. The team works on diverse areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. The role involves working on critical projects for Google Cloud with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions to customers in over 200 countries and territories, enabling digital transformation and sustainable development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience coding in modern programming languages such as Golang, Java, or C++.
• Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/UDP, TLS/SSL.
• Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure, X.509, SSL/TLS, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Excellent unit and integration testing skills.

• Extend the Cloud Certificate Manager (CCM) product family with new features to manage, provision, and renew SSL X.509 certificates, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market demand, preparing for the post-quantum future.
• Build new solutions and products to enable easy or zero-configuration deployment of managed identity and mutual TLS across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customer infrastructures.
• Design and implement OnePlatform APIs using canonical Google infrastructure stacks.
• Work on control and management planes, and data planes.
• Ensure stability and compatibility to avoid breaking 7% of the Internet's web pages with changes.
