Dev Lead — eCommerce Platforms | Warsaw, Poland

EpicsMart is a company operating in Warsaw, Poland, working on eCommerce and marketplace platforms involving payments, inventory, multi-vendor/supplier logic, and order management.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Hands-on project management experience including sprint planning, backlog grooming, task estimation, and delivery commitments using tools like Jira, TeamWork, or Linear.
• People management experience managing, mentoring, or technically leading 3–5 developers, including conducting 1:1s, performance feedback, hiring decisions, onboarding, and conflict resolution.
• Strong PHP experience, ideally with Symfony, PrestaShop, or equivalent MVC framework, including understanding PrestaShop module architecture.
• Production experience with React 18 and TypeScript using modern hooks patterns.
• Working proficiency in Python for building, maintaining, and extending services.
• Fluency in PostgreSQL including query optimization, schema design, and performance at scale.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience using Claude in development workflow for prompt engineering, AI-assisted testing, and code review.
• Experience with eCommerce or marketplace platforms handling payments, inventory, multi-vendor/supplier logic, or order management.
• Comfortable working in-office in Warsaw with hybrid flexibility; office-first role.
• Strong English communication skills for daily communication, specs, and documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the gaming industry related to game key distribution, virtual currency marketplaces, or gaming services platforms.
• Familiarity with PrestaShop 8/9 architecture and module development.
• Experience scaling engineering teams from 5 to 15+ people.
• Background in B2B platform development including supplier APIs, automated procurement, and pricing algorithms.
• Contributions to open source, technical blogs, or conference talks.
• Working knowledge of DevOps practices such as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Polish language proficiency (helpful but not required).

• Lead development delivery across platforms.
• Own the sprint cycle end-to-end: planning, estimation, task assignment, daily coordination, and retrospectives.
• Write production code daily and improve overall company development framework.
• Manage and grow the development team, including running regular 1:1s, providing performance feedback, resolving blockers, and creating an environment for developer improvement.
• Own hiring processes: writing role specs, running technical interviews, onboarding new hires, and building team culture.
• Own technical architecture decisions, lead system design for new modules, evaluate technical debt, and drive modernization roadmap.
• Drive AI-augmented development as a team standard using Claude Enterprise and LLM tools for spec-to-code generation, test scaffolding, code review augmentation, and documentation.
• Build prompt libraries, run workshops, and track adoption of AI tools.
• Run the spec-to-deployment pipeline: translate product requirements into technical specs, get CEO sign-off, break into sprint tasks, and ensure clean handoff from spec to development, QA, and deployment.
