Linux Embedded Developer

Hays IT Contracting provides B2B cooperation connecting IT specialists with innovative biotechnology projects. The role is for a Senior Embedded Linux Developer focusing on Linux kernel, performance analysis, and embedded systems.

• Experience with Linux Kernel internals (scheduler, memory management, IRQ/driver stack)
• Skills in profiling and debugging performance (KernelShark, ftrace, trace-cmd, perf)
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux including Yocto, systemd, cross-compilation
• Familiarity with Yocto Project components (bitbake, layers, recipes, bbappend, BSP)
• Experience debugging embedded systems (strace, dmesg, LTTng)
• Understanding of Linux networking stack, eBPF / XDP
• Proficiency with performance and monitoring tools (perf, top/htop, vmstat/iostat, bpftrace, flame graphs)

Nice to have:

• Optimization for real-time / low-latency systems
• Experience with Intel / Nokia (LFS, low-level Linux)
