Wymagania

  • Demonstrated professional experience in the games industry as a Technical Artist or in a closely related role.
  • Deep understanding of real-time shaders and materials, with the ability to analyze and optimize their performance impact on GPU cost, memory usage, and visual fidelity.
  • Strong experience optimizing game assets and content pipelines for performance and memory efficiency.
  • Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya, Substance, and Blender, and understanding of how authoring decisions affect runtime cost.
  • Strong understanding of game engines, rendering pipelines, and asset processing workflows.
  • Proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to balance visual quality, performance constraints, and production realities.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience shipping AAA titles.
  • Strong understanding of memory management, streaming systems, and performance profiling from a content perspective.
  • Experience creating, optimizing, and debugging shaders and materials.
  • Experience working with console tooling and performance constraints.
  • Experience working with C++ or other high-level languages in support of performance tooling or engine integration.

Obowiązki

  • Drive performance ownership from a content creation perspective, ensuring assets meet runtime budgets for memory, CPU, GPU, and streaming.
  • Analyze and optimize art assets, shaders, materials, rigs, and animations to reduce runtime cost while preserving visual intent.
  • Design and maintain tools and validation workflows that surface performance issues early in the asset pipeline.
  • Establish and document performance guidelines for artists, including asset complexity, LOD strategies, texture usage, material setups, and animation costs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to profile, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks tied to content and workflows.
  • Anticipate performance risks related to content scale, reuse, and density, and implement preventative solutions.
  • Support cross-discipline communication by translating engine-level performance constraints into actionable guidance for content teams.
