Senior Software Engineer, BigLake Federation

Google Cloud's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users. The role involves working on critical projects for Google Cloud with opportunities to switch teams and projects. Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging cutting-edge technology to customers in over 200 countries and territories.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in open source technologies and Apache Spark.
• Experience working with partners like SAP, Salesforce, or cloud providers.
• Experience with distributed computing, big data analytics, cloud computing, multi-tenant cloud, or AI.

• Be responsible for all data & metadata federation aspects and expand BigLake to other clouds, hyperscalers, and partners like SAP & Salesforce.
• Create a compelling cross cloud data analytics product, working with senior SWE and PM leads.
• Influence the roadmap, work with customers & partners, and help build a strong culture of operational excellence within the new team.
