Mobile Technical Lead, RCS For Business

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. The Platforms and Devices team works on Google's computing software platforms across desktop, mobile, and applications, as well as first party devices and services combining AI, software, and hardware. The team researches, designs, and develops new technologies to enhance user interaction with computing globally.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with large scale application design and architecture.
• Experience with Android application development.
• Experience programming in Kotlin.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Lead Rich Communication Services (RCS) For Business in Google Messages application development.
• Identify, deliver and land critical user journeys end-to-end.
• Measure and monitor the impact of various features across the business communication ecosystem.
• Create better user experience by fixing critical bugs/issues raised by external developers.
• Work with Product Managers, UX, DevRel, Support and Engineer leads to deliver critical product/system metrics to understand product nuances.
