C++ Software Engineer

Brightstar is a global leader in lottery technology, delivering secure and reliable solutions for lottery operations, retail, and digital platforms. The company specializes in online transaction processing systems for scratchcard lotteries and supports international system deployments.

• University degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Good understanding of relational database algebra
• Strong SQL skills on common RDBMS, preferably DB2 or PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of C application programming under RedHat Linux
• One year or more of professional software development experience
• UNIX shell scripting skills
• Good command of English, written and spoken
• Availability for international travel (less than 10% per year)
• Based in Poland (option for remote work)

Nice to have:

• Java programming skills
• Experience with Spring and Angular frameworks
• Stored procedures programming experience with SQL databases
• Experience working in international projects with larger software teams
• Experience programming large scale, multiuser, distributed systems
• Job-related certificates or diplomas

• Develop and maintain an online transaction processing system for a scratchcard lottery
• Work on high-availability production systems
• Participate in international system deployments
• Provide hotline support for live production environments

• Candidate must be based in Poland
• Option for remote work
