Senior Software Engineer

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role involves designing and delivering next-generation pricing and hedging platforms for FX Options, partnering closely with traders, sales, and business stakeholders to build and enhance systems covering price discovery, risk management, and transaction processing in real time. The project replaces legacy systems with modern Java and DevOps practices and involves collaboration with experts across multiple countries.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Core Java 1.7+).
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, JVM.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, MQ, and caching solutions like Redis.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tooling: Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with Linux and shell scripting (Bash/Korn).
• Familiarity with data formats and integration using JSON, XML.
• Experience with IT Service Management (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English skills and strong stakeholder communication ability.
• DevOps experience and proven contributions to global, collaborative environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in banking or financial services, especially in treasury and derivatives.
• Knowledge of front-office workflows and the trade lifecycle.
• Exposure to algorithmic trading systems and exchange-traded instruments.

• Design, build, and deploy derivatives trading and risk management systems using Java and internal deployment tools.
• Own and coordinate delivery activities to maintain agreed timelines, budget, and quality.
• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Deliver innovative approaches to complex technical and domain problems.
• Maintain high standards of project and software documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with internal control standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with FX Options business processes and technical stack capabilities.
