Cloud DevOps Engineer

HSBC Technology Poland is expanding its Platform and Cloud Engineering (PCE) team in Kraków to deliver cloud platform solutions for CTO. The team focuses on creating reusable and shared services to minimize duplicated efforts and reduce build and operational costs, supporting global project teams deploying APIs with managed infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in system/infrastructure design and operations.
• Familiarity with Linux OS, shell or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with networking and firewall configurations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Embrace diversity and interest in working in a global team structure.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Take responsibility for the delivery and consultancy of CTO cloud projects.
• Provide technical and application guidance to multiple project teams for successful project delivery.
• Support production incidents through effective management, problem determination, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in follow-the-sun support with the Hong Kong team, including weekend and non-office hour on-call duties.
• Adhere to Google best practices in Site Reliability Engineering, focusing on prevention and preparation.
• Collaborate with SRE team members to share support responsibilities and maintain a robust support roster.
• Ensure high-quality production support by engaging in proactive monitoring and incident response strategies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cloud projects and support frameworks.
