AI-First Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Python) – Startup Environment

Virtido is an entrepreneurial and innovative IT company headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with over 140 professionals across Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine, and the Philippines. The client focuses on building innovative e-mobility solutions tailored for the bodaboda (motorbike taxi) community to improve their business efficiency and quality of life.

• Proven experience using AI tools as a core part of development with architectural ownership
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django (or similar frameworks)
• Working knowledge of React Native and React
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable systems and make high-level technical decisions
• Ability to derive requirements independently from high-level goals
• Experience with PostgreSQL, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with modern cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with a startup mentality
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes
• Experience with telemetry data and data-driven decision-making is a plus
• Great communication skills with strong English (B2+)
• Ability to provide 4-5 hours overlap with US-based team members (typically 15:00 - 19:00 CET)

• Enhance and scale the existing prototype application built with Django and React Native using AI-assisted development as a primary delivery mechanism
• Leverage AI tools to rapidly generate, iterate, and refine code, accelerating development cycles
• Act as a technical orchestrator, defining architecture and guiding AI-generated implementation
• Translate product goals and business needs into technical requirements and solutions without relying on predefined tasks
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and stakeholders to shape direction and make product decisions
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions through validation and oversight of AI-generated code
• Understand infrastructure and data workflows to contribute effectively to system design and scalability
• Analyze and interpret telemetry data to inform product improvements and scaling decisions
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in alignment with application needs
• Oversee cloud infrastructure (currently DigitalOcean, with potential transition to AWS)
