Database Engineer (Oracle, French)

• 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, focusing on Database Technology such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle (on IBM AIX) and familiarity with database systems including MSQL, DB, DB2 (on Linux and AIX), MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring and performance tools.
• Understanding of data security, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of database design principles and normalization.
• Preferred experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Availability to work in a shift-based system.
• Advanced proficiency in French and communicative level of English.

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Manage database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Optimize and tune database performance, including queries, indexes, and storage.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, and procedures to support business applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Develop and maintain database documentation.
• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches with minimal downtime.
• Manage database access and user permissions.
• Operate service between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
