Junior Software Engineer - Java

• University degree or 3 years of experience in a relevant position.
• Approximately 2-4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge and ability in web browser optimization to improve functional effectiveness.
• Knowledge of user interface design to provide optimal industrial design experience.
• Knowledge and ability to develop back-end Java code supporting package and product development.
• Ability to develop and utilize Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for software component interaction.
• Growth mindset, curious and passionate about technologies.
• Comfort in pushing boundaries and exploring beyond traditional solutions.
• Expertise in Java development language.
• Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability.
• Drive to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.

• Support relationship with product owners to gather and refine requirements for product tasks, considering existing tools and solutions.
• Begin to develop and design architectural solutions, considering integrations with other solutions.
• Provide relevant knowledge on the development of technical documentation and follow best practices.
• Play a role in the development and delivery of new features within a product.
• Design code and systems impacting 40% of the world population while influencing Visa's internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value-added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads.
• Develop robust and scalable products for customers including end-user merchants, B2B, and business-to-government solutions.
• Leverage innovative technologies to build next-generation Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.
