Senior OpenSearch / Search Engine Expert (SOLR → OpenSearch Migration)

We are seeking a Senior OpenSearch / Search Engine Expert to lead the migration from SOLR to OpenSearch. The consultant should understand architectural and behavioral differences between SOLR and OpenSearch, manage the implications of Learning-to-Rank (LTR) plugins, and design a scalable, stable, and high-performance OpenSearch solution in a production environment.

• Expert-level knowledge of Amazon OpenSearch Service.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache SOLR.
• Proven experience migrating from SOLR to OpenSearch including architecture design, cluster sizing, sharding, and partitioning.
• Deep expertise in index mapping and schema design, query optimization, performance tuning, cluster scaling, and cost optimization.
• Production experience with large-scale indexes and high traffic environments (thousands+ RPS).
• Hands-on experience with Learning-to-Rank (LTR) implementations and ranking plugins.
• Strong understanding of behavioral and architectural differences between SOLR and OpenSearch, especially regarding LTR.
