Software Engineer II, Platform and Devices Engineering Infrastructure and Operations Agents Platform

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as first-party devices and services combining Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams research, design, and develop new technologies to make user interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences worldwide.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Nice to have:

• Experience using data science or statistical methods to derive insights and solve problems.
• Experience with AI-powered feature development and productisation.
• Experience in production grade LLM-based applications.
• Familiar with LLM technologies.

• Build AI solutions and tools into development workflows and platforms.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs to support AI-powered features.
• Develop and integrate UI components to surface AI insights and suggestions within developer tools.
• Manage data pipelines to collect, process, and analyse data for model evaluation and metric tracking.
• Contribute to the development of tools and infrastructure that lower the barrier to entry for AI/ML development within the organisation.
