Senior Software Engineer, Google Kubernetes Engine

Google Cloud's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users. The role involves working on critical projects for Google Cloud with opportunities to switch teams and projects. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's technology to help developers build sustainably and supports customers in over 200 countries and territories.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience with Linux networking stack.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with DNS, IPv6, eBPF, load balancing, or network security technologies.

• Design and implement new networking features in the Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) area.
• Help external GKE customers who encounter issues in production clusters.
• Engage with the open source community to influence the direction of networking in Kubernetes.
• Design and develop AI/ML enablement high-performance networking solutions optimized for large-scale model training, low-latency GPU communication, and autonomous agentic workloads.
• Design and develop network virtualization solutions for containers.
