Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Pixel, Android Audio

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users. The Google Pixel team designs and delivers advanced mobile experiences by integrating AI, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and transformative user experiences.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Build and maintain stable, high-quality audio software throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead the design of audio APIs and infrastructure to ensure scalable system performance.
• Partner with hardware teams and external vendors to ship power-efficient, high-performance audio features.
• Drive the innovation roadmap by identifying and scoping new audio feature opportunities.
