QA Engineer - Observability & Monitoring

• Experience as a QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer in a software development environment
• Strong understanding of testing fundamentals (test design, exploratory testing, regression testing)
• Hands-on experience with test automation, especially for APIs and backend systems
• Experience testing datadriven and eventdriven systems
• Ability to collaborate closely with software engineers and challenge requirements constructively
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Nice to have:

• Experience with observability, monitoring, or automation platforms
• Familiarity with Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, InfluxDB, PostgreSQL
• Experience testing distributed or eventdriven architectures
• Python knowledge for test automation or internal tooling
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Background in Agile / Scrum teams

• Define and execute test strategies for observability, monitoring, and automation platforms
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs, integrations, and end-to-end flows
• Validate the correctness, consistency, and reliability of metrics, logs, and events
• Test dashboards and visualizations built with Grafana and Kibana
• Verify alerting and event driven automation logic, ensuring accurate detection and reliable automated actions
• Test data flows across timeseries and relational storage layers
• Collaborate closely with developers to embed quality early ("shift left")
• Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis to prevent regressions
• Contribute to improving QA practices as the automation platform grows in complexity and criticality
