Senior Backend Engineer (Go, Python, Node.js)

Verita HR is an international company providing recruitment support within Fintech, Finance and Banking market in EMEA. The role is for a Software Security platform focused on building internal products and services deployed at scale, moving toward open-source, cloud-native architecture with emphasis on automation, engineering discipline, and maintainability.

• Strong commercial experience with Go, Python and Node.js, building production-grade backend services
• Experience designing scalable backend systems and distributed architectures
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous communication patterns
• Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning in high-concurrency environments
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect authentication mechanisms
• Solid understanding of software architecture, SDLC and modern engineering practices
• Ability to take ownership of services and operate them in production
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run or Filestore
• Exposure to Zero Trust security models
• Experience building security-focused platforms or internal developer tooling
• Contributions to open-source or public GitHub portfolio
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering standards

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Go, Python and Node.js
• Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed and event-driven systems
• Own the lifecycle of services, ensuring reliability, observability and operational stability
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms based on OAuth2 and OpenID Connect
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance in high-concurrency environments
• Translate business and security requirements into practical technical solutions
• Drive automation and reduce manual operational effort using Infrastructure as Code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and maintainable solutions
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge to improve engineering practices across teams
• Challenge existing solutions and propose improvements to architecture and delivery
