Junior Data Engineer (maternity cover)

Allegro Pay is the largest fintech in Central Europe, growing fast and serving thousands of requests per second. The team is based in Warsaw and works on modern cloud-based analytical solutions with a focus on quality and scalability.

• At least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer working with large datasets.
• Proficient in SQL with strong understanding of data modeling and cloud DWH architecture.
• Experience with cloud warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Experience working with large data sets in Python using tools like PySpark or Airflow.
• Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD, ideally with GitHub Actions.
• Product mindset with ability to translate business requirements into software and data solutions.
• Confident use of AI tools in daily work.
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Develop and maintain processes for handling large volumes of data using tools like Snowflake, Airflow, and duckdb.
• Drive adoption of AI in analytics, building and deploying agents to support daily work and products.
• Streamline and develop data architecture powering analytical products.
• Develop tooling for monitoring and enhancing data quality and integrity.
• Manage and optimize costs related to infrastructure and data processing.
