Solutions Architect

MasterBorn is a company working with US clients from diverse industries such as FinTech, SportsTech, and MedTech. Their tech stack includes React, React Native, Node.js, and TypeScript. They collaborate with well-established companies and startups, offering flexible work arrangements within the Polish time zone.

• 5+ years programming experience in at least one modern language (Python, Node.js, Java, or .NET), with hands-on ability especially for PoCs or urgent challenges.
• 2 years experience designing and implementing cloud solutions, ideally with AWS, including core services, security, and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Deep understanding of system design, distributed architecture, and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with transforming monolithic systems to cloud-native architectures using containers, APIs, and serverless patterns.
• Experience leading architectural assessments ensuring alignment with cost, performance, availability, and security goals.
• Experience with Big Data or AI/ML technologies (e.g., data pipelines, model serving, GenAI) is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Polish (C1 level), with experience working with external clients including C-level.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative in anticipating challenges and shaping architectural foundations.
• Leadership skills including mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural best practices.

• Lead hands-on architecture work across client engagements, focusing on solution design, delivery oversight, and early-stage technical consulting during presales.
• Support strategic technology decisions across client projects, shaping architectural direction and defining key processes.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to executive stakeholders, leading architecture reviews, roadmap planning, and strategic technology discussions.
• Collaborate on architecture design of new systems, lead modernization of existing platforms, and direct cloud migration efforts.
• Participate early in projects to translate business needs into technical blueprints.
• Define system architecture and cloud infrastructure balancing performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Document architectural decisions with diagrams, ADRs, and materials for maintainability.
• Provide input on timeline and cost estimations for planning and client roadmaps.
• Drive hands-on work for proof-of-concept projects and foundational infrastructure development.
• Lead internal knowledge sharing, mentor engineering teams, and introduce forward-thinking practices including emerging technologies like GenAI.
