Software Engineer (Server-side)

VGW is an interactive entertainment company delivering free-to-play online social games with acclaimed brands such as Chumba Casino, Global Poker, and LuckyLand Slots, entertaining over one million players in North America. The company pioneers sweepstakes promotions for online social games, focusing on safe, responsible, and positive player experiences.

• At least 4 years of experience with strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js, with exposure to React
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
• Experience with RDS - PostgreSQL
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment management
• Proven track record with high-load systems and distributed architectures
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize backend systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate across teams

• Build and deliver high-quality product features as part of a collaborative engineering team
• Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices for secure software development
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups, and reviews to support effective delivery
• Apply continuous delivery practices, including automated testing and clear, concise pull requests
• Help maintain high standards of performance, reliability, security, and product quality
• Take part in technical design and architecture discussions and contribute to engineering improvements
