Senior Software Engineer, Android, Chrome Identity

Google develops next-generation technologies impacting billions of users, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, NLP, UI design, and mobile. The role is for a senior software engineer leading a small team in Warsaw working on Chrome Identity on mobile platforms, primarily Android, with exposure to desktop. Chrome Identity features are highly visible in Chrome UIs and used by billions. Chrome is an open source project available across major platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience developing for mobile operating systems (Android).
• Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with mobile or desktop development.
• Experience leading a small software engineering team for more than a year.
• Ability to iterate approach for complex features to a large number of users.

• Set technical directions for a small team of engineers.
• Take full ownership of the design, implementation, and launch phases of projects.
• Work with UX/Product Manager peers to refine product requirements.
• Make direct coding contributions critical to project success and coordinate design and development with adjacent teams.
• Utilize AI tools to expedite software development practices.
