Senior Cyber Security Engineer AppSec Sp

Bayer Digital Hub Warsaw is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer AppSec Specialist responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining controls to protect computer networks, systems, and data from cyberattacks. The role involves close collaboration with IT teams, ITSM, and cyber incident response to ensure security and operational continuity.

• Solid experience in application security or secure software development (around 5 years preferred)
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability types
• Hands-on experience with tools like SAST, DAST, or SCA is a plus
• Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Bonus points for experience with threat modeling, DevSecOps, or secure architecture design

• Manage, operate, and maintain controls protecting Bayer’s computer networks, systems, and data from cyberattacks
• Work closely with IT teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks
• Collaborate with ITSM to ensure operational continuity
• Work with cyber incident response to contain damage from security incidents and prevent future attacks
• Lead the implementation of secure coding practices across global development teams
• Perform hands-on security assessments of web and cloud applications using cutting-edge tools
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines
• Drive threat modeling sessions and proactively identify vulnerabilities before production
• Stay ahead of emerging AppSec trends and help shape global security strategy
